Math Center at CRC
Welcome to the Math Center! The Math Center at CRC helps students develop confidence and proficiency in their math skills.
Exciting update: For Spring 2021, the Math Center will be open to all students without an enrollment requirement. All tutoring will be conducted online for Spring 2021. For available online tutoring services, including the Math Center, students can click the link below and access details to Online Tutoring and Academic Support Services.
Please note, if you are interested in enrolling in one of the math labs for unit/credit earnings for Spring, this option will still be available! If enrolled in a lab course for credit, required hours must be completed by May 12, 2021.
Math Lab Courses
- MATH 70 – Arithmetic Skills Lab for students enrolled in MATH 20
- MATH 71 – Pre-Algebra Skills Lab for students enrolled in MATH 30
- MATH 72 – Elementary Algebra Skills Lab for students enrolled in MATH 100, 101, or 102
- MATH 73 – Intermediate Algebra Skills Lab for students enrolled in MATH 120, 125, or 144
- MATH 74 – Statistics/Geometry Skills Lab for students enrolled in MATH 110 or STAT 300
- MATH 75 – Non-Transferable Math Skills lab for students enrolled in all non-transfer level math courses
- MATH 76 – Trigonometry/Precalculus Skills lab for students enrolled in MATH 335 or 370
- MATH 77 – Calculus I/II Skills lab for students enrolled in MATH 341, 355, 356, 400, or 401
- MATH 78 – Calculus III/DE/Linear Algebra Skills lab for students enrolled in MATH 402, 410, or 420
- MATH 79 – Transferable Math Skills lab for students enrolled in all transfer-level math
How to Access the Math Center Tutoring Services
For available online tutoring services, including the Math Center, students can click the link below and access details to Online Tutoring and Academic Support Services.
If you are officially enrolled in a math lab courses for credit, follow the steps below to access the Math Center:
- After enrolling into one of the above math labs, the Math Center canvas shell will be available as a course through the student’s canvas account.
- Go to Courses on the Navigation bar and select the Math Center canvas course.
Math lab courses are a credit/no-credit course.
- If enrolled in 0.25 unit, you must complete 13.5 hours
- If enrolled in 0.50 unit, you must complete 27 hours
Please note, if you have enrolled in one of the math labs, your hours will be tracked through the reporting tools via Zoom.
Using Zoom
We require that all students utilizing tutoring services identify themselves on Zoom by their first and last name, followed by their W-id number (ex: John Smith, w1234567). This helps us track tutoring services data and hours for those enrolled in a math lab.
