If you are a new student and have never attended college, you must complete the Steps to Success in order to enroll in classes.

Submitting Your Transcripts and Test Scores to Cosumnes River College

Official transcripts from all other educational institutions (high school, college, university) must be submitted prior to enrollment to satisfy math and English prerequisites, as well as inform Veterans educational benefits and financial aid. Transcripts can be sent to the following address:

Transferring From Another College

Thank you for choosing Cosumnes River College! Transfer students are those that have previously attended college(s) outside of the Los Rios Community College District (Folsom Lake, American River, Cosumnes River, or Sacramento City College).

Returning to CRC or Los Rios

Welcome back! Returning students are those who did not attend Cosumnes River College or any other Los Rios college (American River, Folsom Lake, or Sacramento City College) during the most recent semester, but previously attended (after the absence of one semester).

Re-Apply

Returning students must first submit an application to be re-activated as a student.

Update Your Educational Plan

To update your student educational plan, please contact Counseling to schedule an individual counseling appointment. Please call the CRC main campus at (916) 691-7411 or the CRC Elk Grove Center at (916) 525-4300.

Enrolling in Classes

As a returning student, you are eligible for Priority 2 registration. You will have a priority appointment date for the first date and time that you are eligible to register (and then any time after that). The priority appointment date is a random assignment and can be found online at eServices.

A Current CRC Student

We are so happy that you plan to continue on your path to reaching your educational goal! Students who attended Cosumnes River College or any other Los Rios college (American River, Folsom Lake, or Sacramento City College) during the previous semester are considered continuing students for the next semester.

Update Your Records

As a continuing student, you are required to submit a Supplemental Enrollment Information form every semester/term you wish to enroll in classes. This form can be completed online at eServices, and has you review and update your contact information as well as education goal and major. Until the supplemental enrollment form is completed on eServices, you will have a hold on your account which blocks registration.

A High School Student

Thank you for choosing Cosumnes River College! If you are a current high school student, you may be eligible to concurrently enroll in two college courses each semester as an advanced education student if the following are true:

  • You have completed the 10th grade or will be at least 16 years old by the first day of instruction
  • You demonstrate exemplary academic achievement as evidenced by a GPA of 2.7 or above and an analysis of transcripts, letters of support from high school counselors and teachers, and/or other academic success indicators
  • The course you want to take is not available to you at your school
  • The course is not remedial (1-99 classes)
  • The course is not being repeated due to an unsatisfactory grade
  • The course is for advanced study and you are able to demonstrate adequate preparation and completed prerequisites for the course

A Dreamer

Thank you for choosing Cosumnes River College! When it comes to immigration reform, a “Dreamer” (also spelled “DREAMer”) refers to a young person who qualifies for the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) ActDreamers are also frequently referred to as “DACA recipients”. While the majority of Dreamers are Latino, they are a diverse group and come from a multitude of countries and cultures.

Please Note: If you have a valid Social Security Number, are a US Citizen, and a resident of California, then you are not considered a Dreamer. Please see information for another student enrollment group.

An International Student

Thank you for your interest in Cosumnes River College! International students are defined as "non-immigrant" visitors who come to the United States temporarily to take classes. A non-immigrant is someone who:

  • Intends to stay in the US temporarily
