I understand the struggles of being a first time and first generation college student.  I am passionate about supporting and helping students reach their educational and professional goals. Bio: Greetings Dual Enrollment Students - my name is Denize Figueroa (Hablo Español). I’m a Bay Area native, and have lived in Sacramento for 12 years. I’m a CRC alum, currently attending CSU Fullerton to earn my bachelor's in Sociology, and have been working at CRC since 2014. I’m here to be your advocate, cheerleader, and your biggest supporter. Bio: I was born in El Salvador and moved to the United States when I was 11 years old. I grew up in the Central Valley, in a small town called Mendota. I earned my Bachelor's degree from UC Davis and my Master’s Degree from Sacramento State. As a first generation student, navigating college can be difficult and I am happy to be in this role to support students achieve their academic and professional goals. In my free time I like to go to dinner with friends and family, dance bachata, watch soccer, and explore new places.

Bio: I’m Lucia I was born and raised in the Sacramento area. I earned a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Chicano/a Studies from Sac State. In my free time I like to be with family, see live music, travel and try new yummy restaurants. I am a first-generation high school and college graduate, meaning I am one of the first persons in my family to earn a high school diploma and college degree. I earned a B.S. degree from UC Davis.
