What is Service Central?

Service Central is a new portal being developed in collaboration between the college and District Office IT teams. Beginning this summer, you will be able to request IT services or get support for any IT issue in a common online location. This includes submitting a request for computer support, software (for example, Adobe Acrobat), hardware (for example, a computer monitor), or access to tools/systems (for example, Zoom or Canvas).

Why Service Central?

Los Rios is launching Service Central to:

  • Simplify how you get support from IT
  • Allow you to see what's happening with your request online
  • Provide you with faster responses to issues and requests
  • Provide a host of other capabilities that will improve support district-wide

When?

We anticipate launching Service Central in summer 2022. Additional information will be provided as we near the launch date.

Who Will Use It?

All students and employees across all colleges and the District Office will use Service Central for IT support.

Though Service Central is intuitive, we will also provide training guides and sessions.
