Lavender Celebration

Join us online to celebrate Los Rios 2022 LGBTQIA+ graduates!
This year we are back with a Los Rios Community College District-Wide Virtual Lavender Graduation!
This space is for all Los Rios Community College District Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two Spirit, Gender Fluid, Agender, Gender Queer, Non-Binary (LGBTQIA+) students to celebrate their educational achievements and an opportunity to share their struggles and triumphs along the way.
2022 Schedule
Our keynote speaker, Mia Mingus, is a renowned queer Asian-American writer, educator, and community organizer focused on disability rights activism.
There will also be:
- a performance by the gay men’s choir
- trans gay singer Eli Conley
- poetry with Cathy Arellano
- a drag performance!
We invite all your family, chosen family, friends, partners, mentors, etc. to join us in celebrating you!

Live Music by Eli Conley
Eli Conley is a singer-songwriter. teaching artist, and social justice activist based in Sacramento, California. As a gay transgender man, he has a deep commitment to working within diverse LGBTQIA+ communities to build collective power, creativity, and resilience. Eli teaches music classes and workshops for queer and trans folks and allies. His songs urge us to love ourselves even when it feels the world does not. You can't help but sing along.

What To Wear
Come dressed in your best Pride attire! Drag Queens, Kings, Things, and Non-Binary Royalty welcome. When you register you will receive a Pride Zoom background that you can use during the event.
