Tony, Emmy, and Grammy Award nominee, Brandon Victor Dixon joins professor Omari Tau to discuss his dynamic career and life in the arts. From singer-actor and award-winning producer to community advocate, Dixon proves a powerful voice among today’s young artists.
His star turn as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar with John Legend earned him an Emmy nod and his depiction of Harpo in Broadway’s The Color Purple was honored with a Tony nomination. In 2016, Dixon made headlines when addressing the former Vice-President Mike Pence from the stage of Hamilton on Broadway — expressing his fearless passion for the power of art.

The CRC Music Department is committed to serving our students and campus community with CRC Music: In the Studio, an exciting new, weekly series featuring innovative artists who are pushing the boundaries of their fields. The series also highlights student voices through a series of open mics and student ensemble performances.
