New Student Hawk Day is designed to assist new, incoming students with completing their missing steps to becoming a new student at CRC for Fall 2023! Students will receive in-person assistance with orientation, course registration, financial aid and signing up for special programs!
- Friday, July 28 or Friday, August 4, 2022
- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm*
- CRC Recital Hall
*End time varies for each student depending on steps needed.
Registration Deadline: 4:00 pm on July 21, 2023.
Students who are approved to attend will receive a confirmation email by July 25, 2023. You must register as drop-in attendance is not available for this event. Due to capacity limitations, guests are not allowed.

New Student Hawk Day Schedule
Your schedule for Hawk Day will be created based on your missing steps to becoming a new student at CRC. This schedule will be provided to you at check-in!
If you arrive late, you may not be able to attend the event due to workshops being in-progress. You may be recommended to attend a different event (including August 4 New Student Hawk Day if there is space available) or to get help at the Welcome Center.
New Student Hawk Day Workshops
During Orientation, you'll receive a list of your first semester courses based on your major, learn about important dates and deadlines, and ways to get involved. You will also learn about CRC programs that can assist you reach your academic goals.

New Student Hawk Day Checklist
If you are approved to attend New Student Hawk Day, please make sure to have the following:
- LRCCD student ID number. This number is also referred to as your W ID number. Lookup your student ID.
- LRCCD password. See Password Management for help.
- LRCCD PIN number. See the help video Using Your Student PIN for Remote Support.
- Your personal email address and password.
Parking and Directions

Please make sure to park in student designated spaces and avoid staff/faculty parking. The closest parking lots to the AME Recital Hall where check-in will be are Lots A and Lot B. There will be multiple A-frame posters leading you to the correct location; please follow the signs. See Parking and Maps.
