California Department of Water Resources
Recorded on February 14, 2024. Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature. We manage California's water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.

Sac State's Institute for Social Research

In this Internship Info Session with Sacramento State's Institute for Social Research, students learned about the work that the Institute completes for the CA Dept. of Public Health’s Tobacco Control Branch, including the how and why. We provided a snapshot about what the work involves including an overview of what a typical work week looks like, and how the experience can positively impact students' future job prospects. Students heard from both Ranesh Karma (the Project Coordinator) as well as a previous staff member, Richard Hansen, who worked on the project.
