Game Notes:
The Cosumnes River College volleyball team opened up Big 7 conference play with a loss to Sac City 30-12, 30-20 and 30-24. The Hawks continually played better as the match progressed, particularly on defense. Sophomore, outside hitter, Sharisse Dy led the way hitting .455 and 3 service aces, but it wasn’t enough against the #10 team in the state.

CRC vs Santa Rosa	30 - 19 Santa Rosa 30 - 14 Santa Rosa 30 - 17 Santa Rosa Final Score: 3 - 0 Santa Rosa

Game Notes:
The Cosumnes River College volleyball team played host to #24 Santa Rosa Junior College in a Big 7 contest, losing 30-19, 30-14 and 30-17. The Lady Hawks played aggressive defense, leading to a season high 39 digs in the match. Middle Blocker, Roni Everett and outside hitter, Brandi Saunders led the way offensively with 7 kills each. Rebecca Knoblauch, Natalie Wells and Sharisse Dy contributed 9 digs each.

CRC vs American River	30 - 20 ARC 30 - 21 ARC 30 - 12 ARC Final Score: 3 - 0 ARC

Game Notes:
The CRC volleyball team lost to American River in 3 games, 30-20, 30-21 and 30-12. In the first two games, the hawks played great defense, accumulating 38 digs. As in the previous match, the offense lacked enough fire power to offset the Beavers high powered offense. Sabrina Nicola led the way on defense with 11 digs.
