The Cosumnes River baseball team opened the 2007 season in Southern California, losing to East LA and LA Harbor twice.  Michael Drake had 2 hits with a home run in the loss to East LA.  Camryn Cruz and Scott Heinig each had 2 hits. Harbor scored 5 runs in the 7th to break a 4-4 tie, as the Hawks dropped to 0-2.  Brian Smith threw a good 4 innings, giving up 1 earned run.  Hunter Martinez, Trevor Gibson, and Chris Ramirez each had 2 hits for CRC. Alan Hudson homered and drove in 3 runs, but Harbor broke open a tight game with 4 runs in the 6th inning.

The Hawks had their home opener spoiled by Merced, who scored 5 unearned runs in the 4th and went on to defeat the Hawks 9-2.

Cosumnes River won its first game - scoring 2 unearned runs in the 9th to defeat Skyline 5-3.  Joey Pilatti homered and drove in 2 runs for the Hawks.  Jared Alexander (1-0) threw 5 shutout innings in relief to earn the victory. 
San Mateo scored a run in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the Hawks 6-5. Alex Bates (0-1) gave up 1 hit in his 4 innings of relief.  Mike Olivar had 3 hits to pace the attack.
West Valley scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the Hawks 7-6.  All the runs in the game for West Valley were unearned.  Mike Olivar had 2 hits as Cosumnes River rallied from a 6-1 deficit to tie the game in the 8th inning.

The Hawk pitching again gave up no earned runs, allowing only 5 hits to Los Medanos.  Jaime Niley had 3 hits, with a double and triple to pace the offense. Mike Drake had 2 hits.

The Hawks (4-6) swept a double - header from Shasta.  The second game was shortened due to rain.  Jamie Niley homered and drove in 2 runs, while Stephan Bautista (1-1) threw 6 shutout innings for the victory.  Scott Harlan (1-1) allowed 1 run in 5 innings, and Jamie Niley hit another 2-run home run as Cosumnes River won the rain-shortened nightcap 2-1.
