  • Absence Reporting - All employees must turn in an absence report each month (whether absent or not), indicating absences if there are any for the month. For information on types of absences and how they are to be reported: Absences (Types and Reporting). For information regarding codes for absences make a contact as follows: Faculty -- Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Instruction (916-691-7408); Classified staff -- Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Administrative Services (916-691-7547).

  • Accident/Injury—Employees: When there is an on-the-job injury, the first priority is to obtain the necessary medical treatment. For emergency situations, always call 9-1-1 first and the Campus Police (916-558-2221 OR 916-691-7777). Once the emergency situation has stabilized (and for non-emergency accidents), call College Nurse at 1-877-740-5017 to report the injury. If it is not an emergency, the employee or supervisor should call the college nurse at (916) 691-7767 or (916) 691-7254 for guidance in obtaining the appropriate level of treatment and to initiate the reporting process. Please see the Workers Compensation link under 'W' below for details on reporting requirements.
  • Accident/Injury—Non-Employees: This includes students, volunteers or spectators, who may be involved in an accident that causes injuries. For emergency situations, always call 9-1-1 first and the Campus Police (916-558-2221 OR 916-691-7777). Once the emergency situation has stabilized (and for non-emergency accidents), call the college nurse at (916) 691-7767 or (916) 691-7254 and report the injury. Complete the 'Standard Non-Employee Accident Report Form' with the injured party and turn the form over to your supervisor or site administrator. Note: for classes or activities that require participants to sign the 'Agreement to Participate Wavier/Assumption of Risk' form, please attach a copy of it to the Accident Report Form.

  • Bookstore - the 'Hawk's Nest' bookstore sells textbooks and other classroom supplies, magazines and bestsellers, as well as clothing and snacks. It is located in the College Center next to the cafeteria.
  • Bus Requests - the Bus Oversight Taskforce Committee meets and prioritizes funding requests for bus trips for each fiscal year. If you are considering a class trip of any kind that may require bus transportation, please complete the attached bus funding request form and return it to the Vice President of Administrative Services and Student Support's office. Please see 'Field Trips & Athletic Events' for more detail on bus requests.
  • Business Cards - an initial batch of business cards is provided for free to all new permanent employees. Those receiving a promotion are also provided cards free of charge. Additional cards are available for a fee. There is a form to order your Business Cards.

  • Cafeteria (Rio Bistro) & Coffee Shop (Java City) - Rio Bistro Cafe & Java City - The Cafeteria is now open! the "Hungry Hawk" trailer will still be available near the OPS Building Monday - Thursday from 10-2.  Hours of operation for the Cafeteria will be Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 7:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 2:00pm and Java City is open from 7:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Thursday and 7:00am - 2:00pm Friday. For more information please visit our website: http://www.campusdish.com/en-US/CSW/LosRios/ where you can find more information about food services on your campus. session. See "Food Service" under "F" below for information on locations of vending machines.
  • Catering/Food on Campus - please review the attached document detailing the guidelines to help you in planning for an event, meeting or activity involving food.  Please review this document before bringing in any outside food for an event held on campus. 
  • Campus Vehicle Use: The campus has a limited number of vans and utility vehicles available. To check out a campus vehicle or rent a vehicle for District use, the driver must have a valid California drivers license, have completed the appropriate driver training (vans, autos, utility carts), and signed an annual DMV release form.  A Request for Vehicle Use form must be completed and turned into Police Services, located in the Operations and Public Safety (OPS) Building. Forms are available in the Division Offices.
  • CASSL - the Center for the Advancement of Staff & Student Learning is a place where you can have a meeting, use a computer or chat with the CASSL staff about the latest in research related to teaching, learning, student success, student learning outcomes, etc.  The CASSL is located in the LRC Building.  Entrance is at LRC121.  The Research Office is also located in the CASSL.

  • Compensatory Time Off (CTO) - information posted on the Campus Operations site.
  • Cultural Competence - the skill of interacting positively with all people - embracing their race, gender, class, religion, sexual orientation, age, culture, ability, or physical abilities. See the Statement Concerning the Value of Cultural Competence at CRC.

  • Emergency Procedures - in case of an emergency on campus, call 9-1-1, followed by College Police (916-558-2221 OR 916-691-7777). "Blue Light" phones are also available (24 hours) in each parking lot. There is an "Emergency Procedures Manual" in every division office for review and referral, and a condensed flipchart of the emergency procedures is posted in every classroom and other public areas. Please familiarize yourself with the emergency procedures before an emergency, so you are better prepared to react effectively.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Travel Assistance Program -  these programs are for permanent employees eligible for Los Rios Life Insurance benefits.

  • Food Service - Vending machines (selling snacks and beverages, and some include sandwiches and coffee) are located in the Community & Athletics Center (CAC), the Library, the Business/Social Science, Careers & Technology, Police Services, and Automotive buildings and outside of the Ford Training Center. Information on the College's cafeteria and coffee shop can be found under 'C' above.
  • Food on Campus - please review the attached document detailing the guidelines to help you in planning for an event, meeting or activity involving food.  Please review this document before bringing in any outside food for an event held on campus.

  • Help Desk - The Help Desk at the District Office provides assistance to solve problems with electronic resources, including the telephone system, computers, printers, and network resources. Call (x3012 or 916-568-3012) or e-mail the Help Desk (help (at) losrios [dot] edu (subject: ) (DO - Help Desk)), to enter a trouble ticket and the appropriate person will be notified to solve your problem.

  • Keys - Staff members who need keys must submit a Key Request Form. The forms can be obtained from your area dean or supervisor. After your dean or supervisor signs the form, you need to turn it in to Police Services. Key requests are usually complete one business day after they are received, so please return to Police Services the next day to pick up your keys. Upon resignation, retirement, etc., all keys must be returned to the College Police. Part-time instructors should check their keys in when their semester or summer session is completed, unless they are continuing as an instructor in that area the following term. All staff are expected to monitor their key usage and return keys that are no longer needed. At no time should you copy, loan or allow an unauthorized person to utilize your keys.

  • Lost & Found - Lost and Found is located in the College Police office. If you find an item, please contact the College Police so the item can be recorded and if possible, returned to its owner.

  • Paystub Field Descriptions - link to the District Office web site for a detailed description of the paystub.
  • Paychecks/Paystubs - Checks and paystubs can be picked up Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 10:00am. to 4:30pm at the 'Staff Window' in the College Center, which is to the right of the Admissions' and Cashier's windows.   • Phone Directory - CRC phone directories are distributed to the area offices each fall semester. Other LRCCD college directories are available from the District Office and can be picked up at the Public Information Office (in the College Center) or by calling the Public Information Officer (916-691-7199 or x7199 from a campus phone) to request copies.   • Travel - you must submit a travel authorization form at least four weeks before your planned travel if you require the district to pre-pay any expenses. Out-of-State travel requires the approval of the President of the College and the Chancellor. Professional Development funds may be available - see the PD page for more information. See the back of the Travel Authorization form for more information on allowable amounts for reimbursement.

  • Volunteers on Campus - anyone who would like to volunteer their time or services needs to sign a "Volunteer Release" form and have the appropriate manager agree to supervise them. Volunteer Release forms are available in the Division/Area offices and from the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Administration or by clicking on the following link: Volunteer Release Form
