Veteran Students and Dependents
Welcome to Cosumnes River College. CRC Veterans Services, located in the Admissions and Records Office, was established to help process VA educational benefit paperwork and to coordinate with other campus services. This "one-stop shop" provides the student veteran and eligible children, spouse or surviving spouse of a veteran using VA educational benefits with a variety of services.
CURRENT NEWS!
• Priority 0 registration for summer and fall will be April 23-27. It is VERY important that if you are making changes to your VA educational plan, you should meet with your counselor prior to April 23. And remember to notify our office with your enrollment - submit your CRC VA request for certification form as soon as you register.
Starting with Fall 2012, CRC will have a Veterans' Center housed in LRC 214. Watch for further information.
PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS:
Initial steps to receiving your Veteran Benefits:
• Apply to Cosumnes River College
• Take assessment test
• Have your official transcripts sent from ALL prior colleges attended (other than Los Rios colleges) to
CRC Admissions and Records
• Apply for your Veteran Benefits
• Fill out Veteran's Intake Form or do office
• Turn in any required documentation, i.e., DD-214, NOBE, marriage license, etc.
• Meet with a CRC veteran's counselor for a VA educational plan (after assessments and transcripts are on file)
