Math 30 Exams & Grading

IN PERSON EXAM POLICY:
CRC Mathematics Department requires online students to take proctored exams, in person, WITH PHOTO ID.

There will be three unit exams and a comprehensive Final Exam. The dates for those exams are listed below and are also included in the course schedule and course calendar documents.

There are three unit exams. Exams for ONLINE students are held on scheduled Saturdays 9:00-12:00am in Math Center, LRC 205 (Second floor Learning Resources Bldg, room 205). Bring a picture ID with you whenever you are taking a test.
      Test #1 (Ch. 1-2-3)               Sat. Feb. 23 9am - noon
      Test #2 (Ch. 4-5, 9.2-9.3)    Sat. April 6        9am - noon
     Test #3 (Ch. 6-7-8)               Sat. May 11      9am - noon  -or- Mon. May 13   7-10pm
     FINAL EXAM                       Sat. May 18    9am - noon
Bring a picture ID with you whenever you are taking a test.
Alternate days/times for exams can be set up for unexpected & extreme circumstance only and can only be taken EARLY by arrangement with the instructor -- PRIOR to the scheduled exam date for each exam.
Students may make individual arrangements by permission of the instructor to take exams off campus in a proctored testing center at another univeristy or college. Any fees for offsite exam proctoring is the responsibility of the student. The Final Exam must be taken on the CRC campus.

Saturday, May 18, 2013 9:00 am - Noon (LRC 205)
or earlier by arrangment with instructor

There will be absolutely no make-up exams. The score on your final exam can be used to replace ONE missed exam, only if unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to take a test. You must notify the instructor before missing the test. Students who miss a test without notifying the instructor in advance will be recorded as a zero for that exam.

PROCEDURE for ALTERNATE EXAM DAY
See steps below to take test early if stated dates cause a time conflict for you.

1. If you experience an unexpected and extreme circumstance that causes a time conflict with a scheduled testing day, you may arrange an alternative day/time in the week PRIOR to the scheduled exam dates by making an appointment with your instructor AT LEAST 48 hours IN ADVANCE of the day and time you want to take your exam
