CRC Mathematics & Statistics
Welcome, Students...and any curious online explorers!
Here you will find an introduction to the online courses I am currently teaching at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, CA.
For the past several years I have added web-based enhancements to my traditional classes and since 2006 have been offering Stat 300 and other Math classes completely online. My past online students tell me taking a class online is a challenging environment for learning, one that has to balance flexibility with self-discipline and time management. As my students learn to take advantage of all the online resources provided with my courses, I, too, am learning to combine the best practices in making the most of online teaching. I hope these online courses will be a valuable and enjoyable joint venture, for both me and my students.
This site is intended as a pre-semester introduction to these courses, and a place to find out how to get connected to the full Course Compass webpages for my online Stat 300 & online Math 30.

Teaching Experience
I've been teaching for more than 20 years, and have taught Statistics and most of the spectrum of Math courses, from Algebra to Calculus. My favorites are Statistics, and those courses that create the math foundations for my students to build on. Although I have taught in three states, and at both the community college and university level, I have happily settled for the last 20 years at Cosumnes River College. Over the last five years, my in-classroom courses, and online courses, have taken more and more advantage of what technology can offer the educational experience. Each semester I start fresh, with new students and new challenges ahead!
